Melee Combat Buffs, Gameplay improvements, and more! Let’s dive into what’s new to Skillfite.io in Update 1.4.1!
Melee & Archery Balancing
- While using an archery weapon, the player’s movement speed while aiming is a bit faster, though still slower than the normal walking speed.
- Melee combat has received a large buff. While aiming with a sword or greatsword, the player now has a small speed boost. Along with that, swords & greatswords have less time in between attacks, and also deal damage sooner after starting an attack.
Fishing Spot Changes
- Fishing Spots can now spawn with different fish after being depleted. The type of fish that respawns is weighted to the location of the fishing spot, so if you are in a higher tier area, it is more likely a higher tier fish will spawn in than a lower tier fish. The opposite goes for the lower tier area fishing spots.
Other Changes:
- If you interact with something or press ‘escape’ while in the middle of typing a message in the chat, it is no longer sent. Instead, it is saved, and you can continue editing your message upon pressing ‘Enter’ again.
- The amount of score tokens you receive from selling an item to the Fish Merchant has been increased. Price items in the shop are now slightly higher. Overall, this should make it a bit easier to obtain items from the Fish Merchant shop.
- We have removed the two mid-area safe zones to make it take longer for people to retreat to a safe zone when in a PVP scenario.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug where eating fish while aiming your weapon would lock your character’s rotation.
We also have added something to the game as a fun celebration of the Fall & Halloween season!
