Greetings, Skillfiters! Update 2.0.0 brings the largest update to Skillfite.io since its release 6 months ago! We are very excited to introduce the Beta version of the new Saved Progress game mode! Be sure to read below to see the details of the final Skillfite.io update of 2023!
Saved Progress Game Mode:
- Skillfite.io now has the Saved Progress game mode.
- The Saved Progress game mode is now the default mode of Skillfite.io. To switch to the old .io game mode, you can use the server select to find a server in that mode.
- In the Saved Progress game mode, progression takes a lot longer, items are more rare and high value, and your progress is saved when you disconnect from the game! The only exception to this rule is if you exit the game when you are in combat, you will lose items and levels as if you have died.
- Because of the change to progression speed, crafting requirements in the Saved Progress mode are increased, your stats take longer to level up, and we have also brought back the original 5 skills for this game mode.
- We will set up an account system very soon, but your progress is saved in the game server for now.
- Please keep in mind this is an early beta of this mode, and there will likely be some bugs and balancing issues we will address in future updates. In the meantime, be sure to share your feedback with us in Discord as always!
Map Expansion:
- The map has been expanded to include new areas, towns, and more! For now, the towns are just visuals with no mechanics yet, but this new map will support some exciting things coming soon!
- With this, we have increased the amount of resource spots and NPCs in the level. Fishing spots have also been moved around.
Other Features:
- Updated splash screen UI with more information for updates!
- Added debugging information in the console to help deal with server issues.
